By accessing or using the Norma compliance management platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of service
Norma provides a cloud-based compliance management platform that helps organisations manage regulatory requirements. The Service includes access to our web platform, APIs, and related support services as described in your subscription plan.

Track compliance progress and maintain audit readiness
Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies
Store and organise compliance documentation

3. Account terms
3.1 Account creation
You must provide accurate and complete information
You must be at least 18 years old or have legal capacity to enter contracts
You are responsible for maintaining account security
One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account
3.2 Account responsibilities
You are responsible for all activities under your account
You must immediately notify us of unauthorised use
You may not use the Service for illegal purposes
You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations
4. Acceptable use
Permitted uses
You may use Norma for legitimate business purposes related to compliance management, risk assessment, and regulatory adherence.
Prohibited uses
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to breach or test system security
Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Access other users' accounts or data without permission
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
Resell or redistribute the Service without authorisation
5. Subscription and payment

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to the Service until the end of the paid period.
6. Intellectual property
Norma's property
The Service, including all software, design, text, images, and other content, is owned by Techuplift, Lda. and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive only a limited licence to use the Service.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant us a licence to use your content to provide the Service. You warrant that you have rights to all content you upload and are responsible for backing up your content.
Feedback
Any feedback, suggestions, or improvements you provide become our property and may be used without compensation or attribution.
7. Data protection and privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy. We process data in accordance with GDPR and applicable data protection laws.
Data Processing Agreement
For enterprise customers requiring a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), please contact legal@norma-compliance.com. Our standard DPA includes EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Warranties and disclaimers
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will meet all your requirements or be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. You use the Service at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
Liability limits
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Techuplift, Lda. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, or use.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Techuplift, Lda., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
Termination by you
You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings or by contacting support.
Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment of fees, suspected fraudulent or illegal activity, or extended period of inactivity.
Effect of termination
Access to the Service ceases immediately. You remain liable for any outstanding fees. We may delete your data after 30 days. Sections that should survive termination will remain in effect.
13. Modifications to terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
For material adverse changes, we will provide 30 days notice before the changes take effect.
14. Governing law and disputes
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Dispute resolution
We encourage resolution through good faith negotiation. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Setubal, Portugal.
15. General provisions
